The conception of Smoky Mountain Montessori was established based on the need for Dr. Maria Montessori’s methods to be available in Maryville as an alternative to all families seeking her time-tested methodologies.

WHAT YOU'LL FIND IN A MONTESSORI SCHOOL

In a Montessori classroom, children are immersed in a carefully prepared environment with materials that are presented to the child's own specific interest reflecting the commitment to individual liberty and a deep respect for the child's unknown potential.

A Montessori education gives your child the best foundation on which to base their future learning.

Smoky Mountain Montessori is a 5 day a week program. Enrollment is available throughout the 10 month school year, space permitting.
We accept children 13 months to 6 years old.
Daily lunch, morning and afternoon snack provided.
Our “natural playground” will be the first in the area.
Children will be enriched in an authentic Montessori classroom with certified and/or experienced lead guides (teachers).
The classrooms are a mixed-aged environment. The toddler community starts at 13 months to 3. Our Early Childhood community students are 3-6 years old.
We offer extended hours before and after school beginning at 7:00 a.m. to 6 p.m.
